Khaled "Haruba" Jones A famous adventurer-archaeologist who got caught up in some trouble a few years ago and consequently went out of the public eye. His most celebrated discovery was a collection of old native Sinnohan artifacts, and his latest find — the Shin'ai Azure Flute — is sure to make him a beloved hero once more. However, his trouble is far from over. Despite his recent hardships, he remains good-natured. He is a great lover to all women, but that's having its repercussions...	Aden Rohan Lawley A newcomer to the Sinnoh League Challenge, but not to training and handling Pokemon. He has his own reasons for entering the summer competition and isn't interested in friends, adventures, or side quests. Fate may have other plans for him, though. Thanks to what happened in the past, he must now keep his emotions in check at all times or he'll lose control; with a violent Pokemon as his new partner, they make a dangerous combination.	Pirika "Pikki" Hidaka A waitress who signs up for the Sinnoh League Challenge in order to earn enough money to save her mother's struggling restaurant. She was always good at interacting with Pokemon back at the peaceful Resort Area, but the world of competitive battling is another matter. Nevertheless, she has the willpower to succeed. She is a friendly and cheerful tomboy who loves rollerskating and swimming, though what she'd like most right now is a little romance.
Riley Torres A seasoned Trainer who's been wandering the lands away from his native Sinnoh for the past decade, seeking paths to become stronger in more ways than one; his knowledge and wisdom remain strongest of all. He is a private man who keeps his secrets, but can open up and become a loyal friend given enough time. He's been in love with one person for years, but put those feelings behind him with various trysts over the years. A chance return to Sinnoh, however, might change that.	Roark Vandenberg A recently-promoted foreman of the Oreburgh Mine who just became a Gym Leader. He now has more responsibilities and expectations than he knows what to do with, and tries to stay positive in the face of stress. He has a good sense of humor and loves making rock-related puns, and is well-liked by everyone for being so reliable. Passionate about fossils, he used to volunteer at the Mining Museum, but these days rarely gets the chance for that or any other non-work-related pursuits.	Byron Vandenberg A veteran Gym Leader who's been with the Sinnoh League the longest, he's considered one of the toughest challenges in the region for his iron defense and heavy attacks. Unlike his diligent son, he often shirks his Leader duties, but the League looks the other way on account of his rank. Thanks to Roark moving to Oreburgh, he spends more time alone than he used to, but that's about to change very soon. His gruff exterior and loud voice belie a sensitive heart.
Candice Park A Gym Leader who rose up the ranks quickly, she is now considered one of the toughest; on top of which, her perpetually-snowy town is the region's most difficult to reach. She puts all her focus in everything she does, from training to keeping up with trends. Though studious, she is warm, flirtatious, and teasing, frequently letting loose whenever she makes a new friend. She is the public face of the Sinnoh League, appearing in print ads, posters, and commercials nationwide.	CRASHER WAKE A Gym Leader, pro wrestler, and board member of the Sinnoh Environmental Protection Bureau. He is the second-most veteran of the League, but isn't quite as tough as some of his juniors due to his time being divided among so many things. Because he loves his town and its wildlife, he donates his wrestling proceeds to the Great Marsh, its Ranger service, and others less fortunate than he. Though serious about helping people and Pokemon alike, he is a fun-loving guy, always laughing and making up songs.	Soledad Ortiz A member of the Pastoria Rangers, a special division that protects the Great Marsh and areas surrounding the town. She had a delinquent life before finding herself in Pastoria, where she was given a second chance by Crasher Wake. She prefers patrolling alone on her motorbike, and is adept at catching poachers or others who would do harm to her new home. Off hours, she enjoys karaoke, watching Wake dominate the wrestling ring, and flirting with young ladies.
Ayame Hidaka A restaurant entrepreneur whose unique venture hasn't been doing so well, even in the ritzy Resort Area. She is descended from the Shin'ai, Sinnoh's native people, and keeps her heritage alive with dishes and decor, some of which was donated by Haruba Jones himself after the Shin'ai Expedition. She's been on her own for a long time, from raising her daughter to running her business.	Maya Lawley A journalist who lives and works in tiny Almia's biggest city, she will often look for stories in other parts of the country. A long time ago she covered the first big expedition led by a young Khaled Jones in the Haruba Desert. Later, she took an interest in reporting the incident that landed him in jail. To this day, it seems her business with him is far from over...	Colin Everard A safety supervisor at the Oreburgh Mine and good friend of Roark's, since they are relatively close in age. An easygoing and folksy sort, he is a hard worker who values his position... to a point. He's a little jealous of blossoming romance among his pals, since his own long-term relationship has gotten rather stale.
	Darius Herrera CEO of Herrera Mining Company, which owns the Oreburgh Mine and also runs Fuego Ironworks. With Sinnoh looking into cleaner sources of energy like wind and solar power, he's planning to get out of the iron and coal industries and build his fortune by other means. He bears a grudge against his former employee Byron, but oddly dotes on Roark. It might have something to do with his own son forsaking the family name...
